Get to the Root Cause of Your Fatigue
Still exhausted but told your labs are ‘normal’?
We use targeted testing to uncover what traditional workups miss.
🔬 Structured Fatigue Evaluation
We do not treat “tired all the time” as a vague complaint. We combine your story, exam, and targeted labs to look for specific contributors like thyroid issues, iron deficiency, infections, stress hormones, gut health, and cellular energy problems.
✅ Is This Approach Right for You?
Our process is a good fit if you are exhausted despite sleeping, have been told your labs are fine, or struggle with brain fog, low motivation, poor workout recovery, or long‑standing stress or hormone symptoms and want real answers.
📍 Serving Wilmington and Beyond
We are based in Wilmington, NC and see patients from across the surrounding area. When appropriate, we can arrange remote testing and consultations for individuals elsewhere in North Carolina who need a deeper look at their fatigue.
WHY YOU STILL FEEL TIRED
Fatigue is one of the most common complaints in healthcare, yet it is also one of the most under-evaluated. Many patients with ongoing fatigue have been told their bloodwork is fine or their symptoms are stress-related, when in reality a specific imbalance may be at the root. Common contributors include thyroid dysfunction, low iron or anemia, Lyme disease, Epstein-Barr virus, cortisol dysregulation, hormone imbalances, hypometabolic patterns, and gut issues such as H. pylori.
OUR FATIGUE EVALUATION PROCESS
We take a structured, root-cause approach to fatigue. Rather than treating tiredness as a single-symptom issue, we look at the full clinical picture — your symptoms, health history, lifestyle, and targeted testing — to identify what may be driving low energy in your specific case.
Depending on your presentation, evaluation may include:
- Blood testing (iron studies, thyroid panel, Lyme disease antibody testing, EBV markers)
- OAT (Organic Acids Test) — to evaluate for hypometabolic patterns and cellular energy issues
- Adrenocortex Stress Profile or HU-Map — for non-menopausal women with hormone-related fatigue patterns
- Stool testing — to screen for H. pylori and gut health contributors
- Spirometry — to assess lung function and oxygen delivery
- EKG — to evaluate heart-related contributors to fatigue and low stamina
